Expert Pediatric Orthopedic Care

The Shriners Hospital for Children, Houston is a 40-bed pediatric orthopedic hospital providing comprehensive orthopedic care to children.

The hospital, which accepts and treats children with routine and complex orthopedic problems, is one of just a few pediatric hospitals in the United States performing micro vascular orthopedic procedures, and has also become known for its work with children with cerebral palsy.

While the Shriners Hospitals for Children— Houston is equipped and staffed to provide care for virtually all-pediatric orthopedic problems, with the exception of acute trauma; the hospital has developed a special expertise in the following areas:

Congenital dislocated hip

Congenital and acquired hand problems

Acute Burn Injury Treatment and Rehabilitation

The Shriners Hospital in Galveston, Texas, is a 30-bed pediatric burn hospital providing comprehensive acute care and reconstructive and rehabilitative care to children who have been burned. There is no charge to the patient or family for any of the medical care or services provided by Shriners Hospitals. This hospital is one of 22 Shriners Hospitals throughout North America.

The Galveston hospital is equipped and staffed to treat the following: Acute burns, Plastic reconstructive or restorative, surgery as a result of "healed" burns, Severe scarring, resulting in contractures or interfering with mobility of the limbs, Scarring and deformity of the face, Cleft lip and palate repair
