SAT,  SEP  23  ---
Dove hunt sponsored by SB Mosser Lodge 912 at Alice. (Bruce Doughty)

VICTORIA LODGE #40 came through the storm fairly well.  No damage to the structure is evident.   The electrical power is back on.  We have canceled the September 5th Stated Meeting due to concerns over some brothers still recovering from Hurricane Harvey.  The Monthly Stated Meeting occurs on the 1st Tuesday of each month.

GOLIAD LODGE #94 also fared well.  So far we only have some minor damage to a small area of Stucco on an exterior wall.  Goliad #94 holds a monthly stated meeting on the 1st Thursday of each month.

GREGORY LODGE #998: Ralph Nelson reports: Our lodge in Taft had a little water blown in through the weep holes and a vent on the North side was blown in. It is sealed up. Ray and his boy helped plug it up. Everything is a go in our Lodge.

BRUCE DOUGHTY, Secretary of Loma Alto Lodge #544, phone 361-800-5370, is helping to find contractors who want to do storm repairs. He would like to funnel some of this work to brother Masons. This would be roofer, drywall, electrical, framing and general remodel contactors. He says, I have several people looking for help.

HURRICANE HARVEY DAMAGE: Scribe needs more updates on the status of the various lodges in Districts 37-A & 37-B. Send the information, please. Need specific information as to meetings, if any, that can or will be held in Portland, Aransas, Ingleside, Rockport or Refugio Lodges.

REST OF SCHEDULE CONTINUED AFTER SCRIBE REMARKS BELOW.

THERE HAVE BEEN SOME HAPPENINGS REGARDING CHAMERLAIN 913 & S. B. MOSSER 912 & MATHIS 1133. THE DDGM OF 120, RW BUTCH MIKEMAN, WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THESE GOINGS ON. REVISED COMMENTS BY SCRIBE. SCRIBE UNDERSTANDS THAT DIST 120 NO LONGER HAS A MWS ASSOCIATION. IF THAT IS THE CASE, I THINK WE SHOULD WORK THOSE THREE LODGES (912, 913, & 1133) INTO THE SCHEDULE OF DIST 37 MWS, AND WE SHOULD HOLD MEETINGS AT THESE THREE LODGES IN THEIR TURNS. WE COULD MAKE IT A BIG EVENT OF BROTHERLY LOVE AND AFFECTION, WITH THE CURRENT LODGES OF 37 CARPOOLING TO THESE THREE LODGES, AND MAKING THEIR MEETINGS A BIG AFFAIR. SCRIBE UNDERSTANDS THAT A GRAND LODGE COMMITTEE HAS BEEN FORMED TO STUDY THE MATTER OF DIST. 120.
